How to Fold a Zine: The 8-Page One-Sheet Method
Make an 8-page mini zine from a single sheet of paper with one cut and a few folds.
What you need
- One sheet of A4 or Letter paper
- Scissors
- A pen, or a printed 8-panel layout
Folding steps
- Fold the sheet in half lengthways, crease, and unfold.
- Fold it in half widthways, then in half again, and again — making 8 panels when unfolded.
- Fold it back in half widthways and cut along the centre crease from the folded edge to the middle only.
- Open it, fold lengthways again, and push the ends together so the cut opens into a diamond.
- Flatten it into a little booklet and crease the spine.
Laying out your pages
Before folding, sketch page numbers on each panel so you know which way up each page sits — half the panels on the top row will be upside down when the sheet is flat.
Take it digital
Scan your finished zine pages as a PDF and share it as a flipbook so people anywhere can flip through it.
Share it the smart way with Zip Link
Once your PDF is ready, upload it to zip-link.com to turn it into a page-flipping book with its own link, QR code and embed code. You can see who opened it, how long they read and which pages held their attention — and capture leads before they reach the end.
